The big basketball game

Yesterday my Mum dropped me off to the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium in Selwyn College at around nine thirty and was pretty early. So we waited for my class to come. At around nine fourty five, I saw my class coming in school vans. I was feeling very nervous at first because I didn’t know how well I would do and also didn’t practice that much because of my left leg was not well. We walked up these stairs and had our morning tea while talking to our friends from different schools. Our first game was with The Tamaki Giants and I was very much nervous. The game started and I was screaming so loud to my teammates to work together. My teammates tried their hardest, but we lost in the game by seven to two. I was still proud of my team and both The Tamaki Giants and my team shook hands while saying good game. Our second game was with the Pakuranga 3 and I was playing with my team, and we ended up winning by eleven to two. I was very proud of my team. We had our lunch before playing our final game with the MRI Strikers and I was very excited but also a bit nervous. I was playing once again with some of my teamamtes and everyone was bouncing the ball or shooting it in the basketball hoop. I had the ball and I literally shoot the ball in the hoop and got a goal. I was very much shocked. When I shot the ball in I was very proud of myself and we won the game by seven to three. I was mostly proud of my friend Angus who worked very hard in our final game. My Mum came to us and told me that she was watching me playing as she was very proud of me. We took a group picture at the end of the day.
